Hi guys, the first application that I am going to review is called “Relax Meditation”. This application can be found in the “App Store” and it can be downloaded onto your phone. I think it’s awesome that it can be on your phone because that makes it easily accessible no matter where you are. For example, if you are in a class and you suddenly feel very anxious or un-focused you could leave the class quickly and pull out your phone and have a resource that is able to help you right away.
I have tried out this application and it is very useful. Within the app it gives you advice on how to live an healthier life style; for example on the first day of meditation the voice tells you that “following a steady schedule is also a great way to ensure progress and positive results, so try and practice your meditation everyday at the same time.” This little piece of advice is great because it can apply to meditation but it’s also a part of a much bigger idea. If you take the time to make a schedule for your everyday life it keeps you much more organized, which helps you remain calm and focused.
The layout of this application is very user friendly and looks very professional. One awesome thing about the app is that if you click on the tab that says “sounds”,which is on the bottom of the screen, there is a page with a ton of relaxing sounds you can choose from. Some sounds they have are: the river, ocean, birds, and fireflies. The sounds they offer can be used for many different activities such as going to bed or studying for a test. There is a bunch of free sounds, but there is also some you can get if you pay for the “pro” version of the app. The one bad thing about the app is that it is not 100% free and there is many helpful resources on the paid version. But with that being said there is still a lot of options for users that don’t want to pay for the “pro” version. If you did want to invest in the “pro” version, for a lifetime access it costs $69.99, for 3 months it is $32.99 and for 1 month it costs $13.49. I did not invest in the paid version and I still found this application extremely helpful. Overall this app is great and I am very pleased with everything it has to offer.
